Shed buck is a mature animal, if taken with a buck tag its up to the hunter to decide if the animal is a trophy or the antlers are.
Proclaiming you are "killing tommorrow's trophys today" instead of does is no comparison.
Here is my shed buck from this season.

Just b/c a deer isn't mature doesn't make it not a trophy in a lot of peoples eyes. And a lot of people aren't hunting trophies, their hunting food.
Not trying to start anything either.. just throwing it out there

I agree totally, but thats not the same as saying:
I am a great hunter and I choose to kill tommorrows trophys today.
Any deer can be a trophy, it depends on the hunter. If all you see is a spike or a fawn shoot it if you want. Fine by me.
But the OP is another story. I am a great hunter and I choose to kill tommorrows trophys today.
Instead of a doe.

Point taken. I'm not worried about it anyway though. There's way to many cousins of hunlee around here to try to have many decent bucks anyway. Myself included sometimes. I hunt hard and usually kill a mature buck or two every year but if i'm not seeing any then I will shoot a little basket rack 6 or something for some meat. I kill a doe early and then concentrate on bucks. If i'm buck hunting I don't want to mess anything up by shooting a doe and then before I know it the does have been bred and I don't like to shoot them then.

I hear you brotha, we got some nice bucks here. Rifle season after the rut, one buck per hunter. You are welcome to come on out anytime, I can line you out on some good public land to rut hunt on.
Kansas is broke we need the N/R revenue.

I'll definetly keep it in mind. I'd love to do it zap style if I could come up with enough long dollars (my long dollars are short). But mannn I would love to.
I've actually been trying to talk a buddy into goin to missouri next year and really doin it zap style (except earlier and tents) but kansas sounds better.
I can throw a penny to the forest from my house. I've started hunting it a lot recently and there is some awesome spots if you ever come to AR. There's 3 big camping areas with showers with 10 minutes of my house.

No argument from me, but I will say that it sounds that you are trying to justify your knowingly taking a shed buck while you had plenty of doe tags to fill. If you are going to shoot one with out head gear why not shoot a doe, as opposed to what would have been a 4.5 y/o buck next year.
