Alright everyone, I came to WSZ (Warp Speed Zone) for some perspective. I can buy a like new 2007 Diamond Black Ice set-up with a WB rest, stabilizer, some sort of single pin sight, a dozen carbon arrows, and a hard case from a friend of mines father for around $500. I have held the bow and can verify it is that nice. Also it is a 50-60lb and 29" draw which is perfect for me.
--------------------------------or-----------------------------
I can buy something like a brand new 2009 Bear Truth 2 off ebay for around $375 bare or add another $100 ready to shoot. I use this bow as an example, could be any new bow with the same $500 ready-to-shoot price point.
I come here and ask this because I know many of the Hunlee followers (that undoubtledly troll the WSZ) are loyal only to the best shooting and not name brand, and those are the opinions I want.

By getting an end of year or left over you still get the factory warranty as long as it is from a dealer. Allot of under rated bows out there. Although you cant go wrong with the iceman either, though if you look around you might find a better deal. Let me know when you are ready to get a newer bow and i'll keep my eye open for you Joe. No need to spend the long dollar.

I still shoot a 07 & would not trade for any new bow made today. That Black Ice is 1 sweet shooting rig & I would go with it over your other choice.

I meant to say you can't go wrong with the black ice.

I am just worried that maybe a newer bow would be better for the warranty aspect. I'm pretty green when it come to these things. But on the flipside I deffinetly don't want to spend the looooooong dollar.
Spike - Tax money coming back in a few weeks, I might be in the market a little sooner than I thought.

Warranty's are over rated. I haven't bought a brand new bow in many many years. I buy 95% of my gear off AT including bows and had never had a problem with one. Buy the best used bow you can afford as it will be a better bow than a brand new bow at the same price point.
