Deer Down???

Went out this evening and had 7 does about 30 to 40 yards just watching them waiting for the bucks to hopefully come out, with about 10 mins left of light no bucks so I decided to take a doe because I have no meat yet. Take the shot at 40 yards thought I made a good shot got down when it got dark found my arrow with a little blood and some skin and also some white and brown hair on it and on the ground could not find any blood did I just graze it or maybe just low she ran off like I got her??????

Sounds like you grazed her low. Probably will have a very minimal blood trail and a hard time finding her. So good luck hope you find her. but doesnt sounds good.

Sorry my first year hunting and I mostly just read the threads and try to learn from you guys. I just didn't know and wanted some input don't want to wound the deer.

My guess would be that you grazed her.. I would just try to get back there and circle the area loooking for blood jsut in case

If you have white hair and skin I would say it was just a graze as others have.
