I think I'd try alcohol first. Acetone is some pretty strong stuff... If it's anodized, then the acetone ought to do the job with no problem. I think I'd try to scrape as much off as possible with my fingernail.....

Use goo gone.It will not hurt the finish and can be bought just about anywhere.

 

Goo gone bud. Acetone is ok to rub arrows off but I wouldn't use it on a bows finish.

 

Goo Gone or a very, very little lighter fluid works also. It takes time just keeping working at it. Once it starts to get soft you can start rolling it off with your fingers.

 

ok cool. i have goo gone for vehicles, and it says it wont ruin paint/clear coat so it should do the job.

 

Roll it off with your fingertips. It'll come off.

 

I would be careful using acetone, your may remove more than you won't. Acetone is powerful stuff.

 

Dont use Acetone. It will damage the finish. Trust me ^^

 

Acetone ate through the finish on my wife's dining room table soooo I would avoid using it.

i use alcohol (iso) with good results but acetone will remove any film dipped finish or cheap paint job...
