I currently have a HBC flex hinge that I am really liking and shooting well with but I want a backup release for tournament’s and hunting and want and thumb for certain situations. I am wondering if anyone has found a thumb with a similar hook length and poi, I have only played with a Just-b-cuz and it was pretty close just looking for options

I'm glad I clicked on this thread.
I have 4 different thumb button hand helds and my BK Hunter consistently shoots to the left (well, I shoot to the left with it).
I thought it was just me being out of my anchor or sumthin'?
I've been going crazy over this thinking it's not possible but apparently it is???

Not trying to sidetrack the thread! Just asking for an opinion or two or three...

I would say it's on the rare side for releases to have the same point of impact/anchor point, so you should feel lucky you found three! Neck length, the direction the hook opens, if the fingers are swept back or not, ect. are all factors that will typically cause releases to have different impact. This is why companies have started releasing button and hinge (or resistance) pairs.

Ultra View makes the Hinge 2 and Button (thumb) releases that are exactly the same size, grip, head length, and hook positions. www.ultraviewarchery.com I love my Hinge 2 and is fully adjustable for the click and the fire moons. I'll be getting their Button release soon.

The Hinge 2 I got was the aluminum one, along with the hunting bracket they make for it that you can hook up a wrist strap to. I made my own using D-loop cord. The hook head has a magnet that keeps it from rattling. For hunting, if you don't want the click, you can adjust it so it just fires without it.

I had a hinge one and hinge two. Traded both of them. My hinge two worked good for about a month and then moons started moving while locked down, got a replacement from UV and traded for my HBC just didn’t feel as if I could trust it anymore

You are more than likely pulling more with the button instead of rotating like the hinge as a left hit is indicating a strong shot compared to a normal shot. If you shoot them using the same mechanics aka rotating they should be damn close

The Wise Choice is close, but not exact. I recently switched over to a Fulkrum Flex and Abyss Flex combo since they are made to pair with each other, and they work great. I’m still sticking with my wide choice for my hunting setup but for my target bow the Abyss/Fulkrum combo is awesome and exactly what I was looking for.
