I am thinking about buying several dozen X-spot pin nocks. GT pin nocks and Easton Pin nocks always crack too easy and I want to buy something more affordable.

Who has used X-Spot pin nocks and what do you have to say about them..?

Thanks for all the input folks!!

Never used x spots, but ive been using the gold tip HD pin nocks and they are great. Very thick, no cracking for no reason, best pin nock IMO for any arrow 9/32" diameter or greater. Much tougher than the regular GT or G pin nocks, thats for sure.

i have used....

xspot
easton g-pin
bohning pin
big G

all nocks are orange in the offerings.

the diameter of my serving at the d-loop is .098 +/- .005

for me, the xspot large would fit too loose so i tried the smalls and those were way too tight, good for a string of .088-092. with the large, the ear's grip wasnt there. if i ever so lightly tapped my string, the arrow would fall off. best suited for strings with a serving diameter of .100 to .106

easton G-pins work great, their only disadvantage is the cost.

the bohnings work the best for me. a nice soft click and the throat is loose, but not sloppy. slip pressure of the ears is just about perfect for my string. they are relatively tough but they also show damage quite well.

the big G large are just too loose. they dont seem to have any grip between the ears. they would be better suited for a serving diameter of .102 to .105

these are just my observations with what i have tried. others may have better luck with the others but for me, the bohning pin nocks are the best for me.

Thanks 'Monkey! I mess around with serving size so fit is not the issue for me. The only two things I am worried about are cost and durability.

How about Cartel Pin nocks vs. X-Spot pin nocks vs. Bohning Blazer pin nocks.......?

Durability...?

I have had several goldtip pin nocks break on me and I no longer trust them. Bohning pin nocks work well with my target bow set at 60lbs but they are starting to crack when I use them with my 70lb bow.

Sent from my tin can, using tin can talk lol

Cartel or X-Spot anyone?

The only experience I've had with the Cartels - I was making up a set of Nano Pros for a friend who had bought all the components, including a bag of Cartel pin nocks. These were so bad they wouldn't bottom into the pins and would wobble side to side. That one bag was complete garbage. I can't say if it was just the one bag, or typical quality, but it was enough for me to never consider them again.

Bohnings for me. Can't beat the price.

Thanks for input on that! I wondered why the Cartels were so cheap..... makes sense :-/

I actually picked up some GoldTip HD pin nocks and even though I thought I would hate them I like them even better than Easton G pin nocks and Bohning pin nocks. I think I might just stick with them.... for ALL my arrows :)
