Hi i was wondering if anyone had any input on the storm elite? I live in the northeast and there are no dealers near by. Looks like it will be a sweet shooting bow. how much is the elite going for ?

talked with a storm dealer over the phone and he said that the elite is going for about $699.00. he also gave his opinion that its a great shooting bow and that it has a lifetime warrenty on it and they stand by their bows. still would like to hear opinions on them from people that shoot them or have seen them

The Elite is a big step forward for Storm as is the rest of the '05 line... but I think it's a bit pricey ($750) for a company w/ very little following. We carried the '04 Storm line at Gander Mtn.. from the F6 to the F28.. they were originally $500.. then $350.. now down to $200-250.. people wouldn't buy them.. a few have been sold since the price came down.. It's just not a name the recognize.. and for '05 Gander Mtn will no longer carry the Storm bows. They just didn't sell.

I personally think that they have come a ways w/ the '05 models.. but still have a ways to go.

Personally I wouldn't buy an Elite at $700-750.. you can get any bow for the same $$$. Not to mention the resale value... and what happens if they aren't around in a few years?

I edited out alot of this post.. don't want people to think I'm bashing... if you have any questions or want any unbiased opinions of Storm bows drop me a PM.

I'll say this for Storm - they'll go out of their way to take care of you.

I almost bought the Elite this week (still want one) but bought the F-28 as my hunting bow. Dollar for dollar, pound for pound, it's as well made as anything out there. The fit and finish are excellent and the cam is smooth as silk, with a nice solid back wall.

Give Pete a call and see if you can get an Elite, or even another bow in the line. I think you'll be happy.

How many companies are out there where you can talk directly to the owners and head engineer :teeth:

I have owned MANY Storm bows and I will say they are right up there with all the other brands. If you want a SOLID hunting bow there are very few that will be on par with Storm!
Plus Mr. Terry will take care of you no matter what! Great company-Superior product--AWESOME customer service!! :thumbs_up :thumbs_up

Mono.. I've seen a few issues on the '04s... I won't go into detail.. because I don't want to be considered bashing.

Like I said.. I think they made some great improvements for '05.. and would love to see them excel. I don't have any issues w/ the company.. and I think the crew are great to deal with.
